During my last cleaning session at my dermatologist’s clinic , I could not believe that she praised me for using a PHA ( Polyhydroxic Acid ) based gel like Nu Skin’s Revealing Gel. When she was cleaning my skin using this metallic tool , she was asking if I used any AHA-based product or anti-acne product. I told her that I only use water-based products , and the Revealing Gel is the closest thing I could hear about AHA - which is PHA. She tells me that my skin “micropeels” every night when I apply it as I sleep, and dirt and impurities from my skin were just ready to be sloughed off by my morning shower. I’ve just been applying it with the hopes of keeping my pores at a minimum, and do some obligatory anti-aging regimen so that in a few years, I won’t hate myself for depriving my skin from it!
Nu Skin Revealing Gel has the key ingredients,
* Gluconolactone—this PHA gently penetrates skin to reduce the appearance of pore size and the visible effects of photoaging. Proven to be effective in visibly improving skin texture and radiance.
* Lactobionic—a PHA clinically shown to significantly enhance skin cell turnover while improving skin brightness and texture. Works gently, without irritation. Acts as a powerful antioxidant and metal chelator that is so nurturing it is used as a preservation solution for transplant organs during transport.
I understand that at age 24, I am supposed to be thinking ahead on applying anti-aging creams to keep my skin looking great and prevent it from aging, but well, at this age, there is this mentality that I could just ignore the thought and “worry about it later.” I always remind myself that prevention is indeed better than cure, that’s why I’m taking this extra step, after cleaning my skin with the Pure Cleansing Gel and Mattefying Toner at night, applying a thin layer of Nu Skin Revealing Gel to somehow “save up” or “prepare” for my future. Haha!
Anyway, I’m just glad that I was told that I was doing the right thing. I just hope that in 5 years, I’d be thanking myself for investing ( yes, it is an economic activity! ) in the Revealing Gel, too.
