I’ve seen anti-aging regimens come in forms of anti-aging creams and serums , dermatological treatments like botox, vitamins, but it’s the first time that I’ve learned that an anti-aging practice could be in the form of…a pillow?
Yes, there are alot of ways of keeping ourselves looking young, and using the right pillow is one of them, according to Dr. Cynthia Boxrud, cosmetic plastic surgeon and professor at UCLA.
Sleeping is indispensable because our sleeping time is when our body does its heal and repair function ( Oops, I’m guilty of lacking sleep! ). But then, notice the marks on our faces when we wake up? They might disappear in a few minutes after we shower, but I just learned that they might cause wrinkles in the long run! Oh no!
Compression wrinkles are what they’re called, according to Dr. Boxrud. Compression wrinkles form when we sleep, if we unconsciously ( of course! hahaha ! ) have our skin crushed or squeezed on our pillows. With this, she has came up with a new product called “The Anti Wrinkle Pillow. “
According to the website, it is described as,
This patented foam pillow minimizes patterns of compression wrinkles, by providing a space where your eye and orbital area are free of pressure. Your skin will stay smooth and wrinkle-free as The Cynthia Boxrud, MD Anti-Wrinkle Pillow helps maintain firmness and protects the eye area after surgery and/or cosmetic treatments.
Hmm…this is quite interesting. I’ve never heard of a pillow that is used for anti-aging. But hey, whatever helps us looking youthful , right? I mean, the fountain of youth has been the subject of conquest of key figures in history – man just wants to live forever. As for me, I just want to look beautiful forever. Hahaha!

Tata for now!

This is the first time I see something like this… The principle behind it seems logical – but the pillow looks uncomfortable for sleeping. Has anyone used it?
I also read about an anti-aging pillows that has aloe-vera and other ingredients actually existent in the pillow material itself. Supposed to care for our skin while we sleep…
