skinceuticals affect sunscreen I’ve been avoiding sunscreens for like, forever. Why ? First, because I feel that they’re icky and sticky. Second, I feel that they would make my skin oilier. Third, they don’t jive well with makeup. Either they don’t glide well, or I get this white cast on my picture when I wear sunscreen. All those thoughts banished from my memory effective a week ago, the moment I tried Skinceuticals Affect Daily SPF 20.

I’ve opted buying moisturizers with sunscreen with the hope of skipping applying sunscreen - I’ve been doing this for ages. When the PR for Skinceuticals contacted me for a review for Melanoma May, I kept an open mind despite my initial thoughts about wearing sunscreen. Heck, I only wear sunscreen on the face when I go to the beach, when it is most crucial, and it didn’t feel good!

Well, let me just say that I am glad that I gave Skinceuticals a chance, because it is the best sunscreen that I have tried! During my morning routine, I applied my usual moisturizer and grabbed this tube for a try. I got half of a pea size amount, and spread it on my face, and it felt very very light, with no trace of stickiness. That’s a good sign. I noticed that when I applied my makeup with Skinceuticals sunscreen underneath, it didn’t intrude in any way, it’s just like normal moisturizer applied! Another good sign!

As the day progressed, I was anticipating for an oily buildup, and to my glee, there was no oily buildup! Rather, I felt my face matte, without a hint of oiliness - gosh, does this even mattify the face? This is too much! I am just left overwhelmed.

After a few days, I find myself reaching for it more and more, deeming it indispensable in my morning vanity essentials. And for the price of the product, priced at $30, I think that it is very Beautynomical - the price surely justifies the quality of the product. Not only that, it’s a pretty tall tube, and you only need half a pea sized amount of sunscreen for the day, so I’m pretty sure this would last at least a year ( of course, the shelf life of sunscreens are only for a year ), and you could also share this with a brother or a sister!

This is one of the few moments that I am highly raving about a product. No kidding, this is the best sunscreen that I have ever tried, that made me change the way I feel about sunscreens. Try Skinceuticals Affect Daily SPF 20, and you’ll understand why it is such a cult favorite. I understand that now!

Have a great weekend, everyone! Tata for now!

Have you ever tried a tinted moisturizer w/ SPF? You pretty much get it all in one go - light coverage, moisturizer, and sunscreen.

Hi :) I’ve done that in the past, but I felt the need to have separates, I just don’t know why! I’ve felt that skin care and cosmetics should be separated, I don’t know, it might be just me :)

Well, I’ve already fallen head over heels in love with SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic and B5 Hydrating Gel and I need to add a good moisturizer with an amazing sunscreen to my regimen. I’ve been debating between La Roche Posay’s and SkinCeuticals but after reading your glowing review, I think it will be Skin Ceuticals! Luckily, there are a lot of online sites that often offer discounts and there’s always ebates.com and mrrebates.com as well….to pick up a little extra commission. Thanks for the review! :) Nancy
