Lately, I have been on a fragrance hunt. Further inspired by what Star ( Bembet ) left on my comments box, that Coco Chanel said, ““A woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future.â€. So, that left me alarmed, since I badly needed a future! Hahaha! Kidding aside, fragrances just give our olfactory senses some delight, and it’s way better than smelling either nothing ( aka neutral ) or something bad ! Hahaha ( okay, I’m still joking around ). Okay, I think this is an expensive addiction if ever I will be addicted to fragrances, or should it be?
I was given the chance to sample So…Sinful Fragrance in Eau de Toilette. First, I was astounded by the price tag. It was just around $8 ( around 450 Php ) for a 20 ml bottle. I was like..whaaaat? Usually, I don’t expect much from fragrances within that price range. I mean, I have had bad experiences with low-priced fragrances. Sometimes their scents disappear from the senses within minutes, but that’s okay – but one thing that’s worse than that is that they actually turn bad, I mean really smell nasty ! Argh!
So..Sinful is an amazing discovery for me. The moment I sprayed some fragrance on my wrists….drat. This just smells soooo good! I’m not good at describing, so here’s what it says on their press release,
The latest addition to the So…? fragrance collection, So…? Sinful is a decadently delicious gourmand scent, complete with notes of vanilla and strawberry. At such an affordable price, So…? Sinful is irresistible.
Top notes of mint, pineapple and chocolate are complemented by the layers of vanilla and a floral heart of violet and strawberry.
This fragrance further thrilled me with its very youthful, sexy, and sweet scent! It smelled like cotton candy and what other nice-smelling sweet stuffs are made of, and yet it didn’t smell “annoyingly-sweet”. The sweetness brought about the scent exuded a girly, yet sexy feel. Just perfect for teenagers – that I really don’t mind wearing even if I’m way beyond my teens, because it just smells sooo great! This scent reminds me of a fun-loving, sexy, and effortlessly gorgeous chic gal who has a great personality sweet side too. The fragrance screamed personality!
Why am I raving about this scent? Because it smelled great- the fragrance brings “personality” and spunk to the wearer , and most of all, it didn’t smell cheap at all. Really, there is a very very thick line that differentiates smelling classy and smelling cheap. The quality of this fragrance is truly at par with prestige lines of fragrances in the market. I swear, I could not believe that I could get something this classy, and great-smelling at this price tag! But it’s real, it’s real, and I’m so happy that So…? Fragrances are in the market!
I further researched on this scent, since I was told that this reasonably priced, way classy fragrance is made from the same fragrance house of popular prestige lines. Turns out, it was made by perfumer Jean Pierre Bethouart, whose impressive resume includes Versace Red Jeans, Cacharel Nemo, Burberry Touch for men, and so much more ( I read the list, it was alot! )
Seriously, I hope everyone who reads this review buys one, both the budget conscious and the painfully lavish. For the budget conscious – they get to have this high end scent at a pricetag that’s not too ouchy yeowchy for the pocket, and for the painfully lavish – get all of the scents, and collect them! Haha! As for me, So…Sinful left a great impression in my book, and I am quite hopeful that the other scents will deliver just like the sexy So..?Sinful!
*So…? Sinful is available in 20 ml ($8.50) and 50 ml ($16.95) Eau de Toilette, and in a 75 ml ($4.50) Body Spray, and can be bought at Kohls, Target, Claire’s, CVS, and Walmart in the U.S. For more information, visit the So Cosmetics website!
