Spot treatments for blemishes, and pimples are just everywhere! I see them in malls, boutiques and inbeauty bars. They’re so much, that it’s so confusing already! But the thing is, even if they are sold rather reasonably that you might just want to pick up the product like you normally throw into your grocery basket, or indulge in a luxury brand ( which is a common misconception that they really really work? )

But really, once you get hooked with a skin care brand, you stick with it. The moment your skin reunites with its karmic soulmate, aka the Holy Grail skin care, there’s no turning back, budget constraints further forgotten, other attractive print ads are ignored. When you know it’s for you, it’s for you forever! Like me, with my Holy Grail skincare - Nu Skin!

With my more than impressed reviews of Epoch Glacial Marine Mud ( my can’t live without mudpack ), I have decided to try its Spot Blemish Treatment counterpart. It isn’t available in the country, so when my friend Lorraine went to HongKong for a business trip, I had her buy me one to try it out. Priced at around 700 bucks, it wasn’t bad! ( so much like Loreal’s, I guess? )

Upon researching, I was far from disappointed! It even earned Elle magazine’s top 5 best spot treatment of the year! Oh wow! Its notable ingredient , aside from the trustworthy zit buster salicylic acid, is job’s tears, which has been widely used in Asia to soothe troubled skin conditions. For more information, here’s what is written about it from the official website :

Diminishes the discomfort of breakouts. A pimple needs to be treated kindly or it will become more irritated and pronounced. Epoch® Blemish Treatment combines proven pore-clearing acne medicine with Job’s tears, used historically in Asia to reduce redness; yarrow, used for centuries to help soothe the skin; burdock, which helps clear up troubled complexions; and skin soothing chamomile extract.

Okay, upon trying it out, all I could say is WOW. Worked great for me. Zits dried overnight, and for more problematic ones, a day or two, and the redness really subsided. Great, great, great! ( Yay! ). It was a great decision to stick to my Holy Grail skin care - my skin’s less problematic now, and I hardly am agonizing over my skin condition. In fact, I hardly notice my skin lately because it’s been quite alright! Less problems for me, and more Nu Skin products in my bathroom and vanity table!

Lesson learned? Stop being adventurous when you find The One! ( well, I think this also applies to lovelife, eh? )

Tata for now!
