First of all, yayness! I’m back to blogging! Everything ( well, almost ) is fixed, and I’ve been indulging in mega pampering lately that I’m so excited to talk about it!
My bestbuds are just so into manicures and pedicures, that they introduced me to the fun world of nail pampering. Gosh, they just got me so hooked, and I’ve been wearing polish for the past few weeks. But then, I am still wearing shades bordering the safe side.
First shade? Of course, transparent. I love low maintenance shades because I literally abuse my nails when needed. Haha! Well, lately, I’ve taken a liking to sheer colors like transluscent beige or white ( think Essie and Orly’s shades ), and I’ve decided to buy Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails in Sheer Pink – it’s somewhat transluscent pink ( blogging about it after! ). But then, to my chagrin, they were out of stock in SM, or rather, they phased Sally Hansen out! That led me to look for good nail polish around the stalls, and I chanced upon Maybelline, and saw a shade very similar to Orly’s French Manicure shade – Colorama in Marshmallow.
Colorama’s packaging is very cute. It’s so small, and it can be brought just about anywhere. My only worry was the quality. As I got home, I immediately applied it on my nails after cleaning and stuff, and…WOW! The consistency of the polish is not thick – it is very easy to apply , and that helps alot for amateurs like me! The shade is very elegant, stylish, and neat – it looks transluscent white, it’s very sheer, and my nails just look well-groomed without the necessary colors. Bolder colors? Maybe, next time, next time! It’s day three and no chipping has occured! Still in their neat-looking glory! God knows I’m getting old that polishes would just spice up my look a bit!
Colorama has also other adventurous shades that you might want to check out! For me , it’s a very highly recommended brand of nail polish, and a great alternative to high end brands like the well respected Orly, Essie and Sally Hansen, for a fraction of the price!
