My dear bestfriend Angel has just had enough of my rantings on Yahoo Messenger about my very stressed state for the past few weeks, that she has donated a blog entry for me, since I have been teaching her how to apply makeup, and look-good tips for Law School. Awww, I love you girl! My guest blogger is none other than my protege and “student” of the Beautynomist, who is also a power student – she tops her classes with ease! Now, I find that sexy – an extremely intelligent, beautiful lady who knows what she wants, and is really really beautiful! ( and loves makeup, like I do, too! ) She reminds me of Elle Woods, or, I’d love to turn her into Elle Woods! Well, here’s Angel with the article, “Hectic Beauty”
Angel says…
I could say with confidence that I am always on the go. Being a full time law student, there is no idle time. You have to be on your toes. Manage your time well. Always be up and ready with your homework. With that, I admit that the temptation to yield to neglecting one’s personal upkeep is strong, nonetheless, this should not be the case. Beauty doesn’t need to be sacrificed with a hectic and on-the-go lifestyle.
I have seen many women out there who because of their hectic schedules, sacrifice the way they look. They either look harassed or really stressed out, when I believe that it shouldn’t be the case. I am no expert when it comes to beauty products and whatnot, nonetheless, I see to it that I could always make myself presentable wherever I go, may it be to school, mall, or somewhere else. My beauty routine is simple as I don’t want for it to take too much of my time, and if you would like to follow my lead, here are my must-haves for the beauty routine on-the-go:
1. Facial wash. Whatever fits your fancy would suit. I recommend that you use a facial wash that is suitable for your skin type.
2. A good foundation. I have fallen in love with FASIO Fit and Stay Liquid Foundation. I am on my second bottle already. First of all, it has a high SPF. Second, it is so easy to apply. And third, it is economical. You don’t have to put a lot of foundation for coverage. Thus, it is easy on one’s budget.
3. After applying foundation, I put some concealer. Concealer is one’s best friend especially if you spend many sleepness nights reading, studying, etc. Currently, I am using the concealer from THE BODY SHOP. It has fluid consistency and very easy to apply. Nice to cover the black circles under my eyes.
4. Next is my blush. I prefer to use most of the times THE BODY SHOP Lip and Cheek Tint. It is fast and easy to apply. If I want to be dainty, I use powder blush. The powder blush from ESTEE LAUDER is good enough for me. It has good coverage and will last you almost the whole day, which is good since there is not much leisure time to do touch-ups.
5. Then there is my lip gloss or lipstick. I am a fan of lip gloss nowadays. I am currently using REVLON Super Lustrous Lip gloss in Nude. It gives my lips some luscious shine and yet it doesn’t look empowering. I also use the lip gloss from BLOOM.
6. And finally, I apply some loose powder. It is the finishing touch. It evens and smoothens out your whole look.
Reading from the aforementioned, I know there is nothing special about it. Nonetheless, it is a beauty routine that works for me since it helps me to become dainty and clean-looking. Amidst the books, work and all that, of course, you have to still look flawless, dainty and beautiful. Having a hectic schedule is not an excuse in making ourselves unpretty.
