Pure Petal’s Hair Fragrance

pure petal hair fragrance Now, this is something new. Fragrance designed specially for the hair. I’ve been relying on really fragrant shampoos and conditioners to make my hair smell clean and fresh throughout the day, as I just love it when my friends say, “your hair smells good!”, but I have to admit, it’s a struggle to find haircare that just stays all throughout the day. Another gripe I have in that department is that as much as I’d love to spray perfume on my hair, it would be really damaging and drying given that alcohol and silicones are present in perfumes, and other hair products, even. Eye Makeup for Asian Eyes

song hye kyo It’s been a while since I’ve posted a how-to, and I was surprised myself that tonight, I was so in the mood to write one! Well, I’ve been reading eye makeup tutorials lately, and I keep on reading the word “crease”. The crease is the fold on your eyelids, and some have them really big, and some have them small ( like me, my crease is like 1/8 inch tall, poor me ), and some , have no crease at all! Most Americans and Europeans have big creases, while people of Asian descent have very small, or have no crease. Well, since there is a dearth of information about how to apply eye makeup for Asian eyes, I decided to do some research and help out our oriental beauties here! Continue reading

G3, the Fruit from Heaven, and My Thirst for Beauty

g3 nu skin pharmanex

I just made a huge purchase today, and I’m hoping that it’d be worth it. My friend Lorraine was raving about how G3, this new drink offered by Pharmanex, is creating waves, positive feedbacks from consumers, and most important of all, how it improved her overall health. Her eyes don’t hurt anymore ( given her delicate eyes ), and she is not as stressed as she is.

Well, of course, being the salesperson she is, she knew my weak and soft spot- she told me that it would really make skin soft and smooth. (Oh no! Salespeople know my soft spot already!!! ) So, all I could say was, “oh wow, get me some.” Because I am always ready to try products that can make my skin definitely look better - absolutely glowing of health.

Well, enough of my chicas and on with the product! G3 is a fruit drink with three very unique and hard-to-find fruits, with their respective descriptions :

Sunsilk Damage Repair Intensive Conditioner Update

sunsilk damage repair

I am absolutely regretting the day wherein I saw a pot of Sunsilk Damage Repair Intensive Conditioner at the mall, and let it pass my eyes, and bought it a few weeks after , because it is one of the best DIY treatments that I’ve ever tried. I should have bought it sooner! Sunsilk might be a consumer brand, but the quality is really really impressive. The results brought to my hair far from “oh, okay.” Seriously! Continue reading

The Beautynomist Loves The Ghost Whisperer

ghost whisperer I’ve always been an avid watcher of supernatural-based series such as Charmed ( I was soo soo hooked for years ! ), and now, Ghost Whisperer. One thing I love about it is that the star of the show is Jennifer Love Hewitt, whom I think is one of the most beautiful women in the world. Besides her beautiful face and girl-next-door image, she also has a very beautiful smile that is so warm that you’ll feel her sincerity that it’s from the heart ( I really hope that she’s kind in person! Haha! ). The show is about Melinda Gordon ( played by Jennifer Love ) who can see ghosts, and she manages to help them “cross over.” Lots of sob stories, and touching ones ( I love the Lost Boys episode, made me cry. Poor kids. ). It’s a series about “the others” but mixed with lots of emotions. Continue reading

Thank You, Beautiful Sponsors!

I’d like to take some time to acknowledge my advertisers for the week:

HBO Documentary Films, featuring Thin, a documentary about women suffering from eating disorders- to be shown on Tuesday, Nov. 14 9pm/8c on HBO (USA). When I say “I would die to be thin,” do I really mean it? I know I don’t, but I know some people do.

On the other hand, HOODIA,is a diet-patch that curbs appetite, and make you feel full. If you feel the need to shed some weight off, this is the product for you. Better than throwing up your food. Take in moderation!
Try it out for free here.

Z-Mei is a beauty brand with Oriental influence that promises to reverse signs of aging and keep skin beautiful. I must say, why not follow whatever Chinese people use for their skin? They’re known to have oh so flawless complexions over time!

Tarte Gilt Trip Lipgloss Set and Mini Cheekstain Set

tarte cosmetics

I was browsing for oh so wonderful gift ideas for Christmas, and I have chanced upon this one at Sephora dot com. For the past few years I’ve been giving away cosmetics as gifts because I’m sure my friends would love it ( I can only imagine them to their dismay if they don’t like my fashion sense Haha! ). This Lipgloss set is a great choice as a gift for the ultimate makeup lover - give her the set, or for your most cherished group of friends who love your makeup but aren’t game for splurging for makeup ( give them 1 lipgloss each, and they’ll love you forever. ). The set of colors look safe and I think that everyone could wear them well. Then…keep that oh so gorgeous gold jewel box all for yourself! Hahaha! You can give two lipglosses each to three friends, or give them one each and save the rest for yourself ( haha, I’m teaching you to maximize your Christmas budget! ) Continue reading

Free Makeover Session Thanks to Nu Skin!

I was talking to a very good friend last night, and she informed me of such a great opportunity that I’d love to share to all of my Philippine readers.

Star Abelada, one of the top makeup artists in the country, has tied up with Nu Skin for the event Vanity Fair this coming November 17,2006 at 6 pm. There would be a free use of all Nu Skin products during the event (wow) , as well as free facial for everyone. ( whoopee! ). Visia scanning ( checking up your skin via a sophisicated computer ) would be for 200 pesos ( $ 4 ). and the early birds (the first ten to come ) would be for a treat - a free makeover by Star Abeleda.

I can say that it’s a good deal already! Interested parties may contact Lorraine at 0917-8567787 and tell her you’ve learned about the event from the Beautynomics Blog. You’ll surely have one heck of a time there!

See you there!

Moisturize When It Gets Cold

nu skin perennial moisturizer Brrr…Brr….It’s getting cold this time of the year, and I just noticed recently how dry my skin felt. I’ve gotten away with the hot, humid summer months without moisturizing frequently , but now, it seemed like my skin was craving for some tender ol’ moisturizing. Gosh, I can actually see it “dry”, which so made me alarmed!

Nu Skin’s been a good friend to me for the past few months, and switching brands have been the wakeup call for me that Nu Skin’s a really really good brand. I got used to the clean feeling I get all over my body, and my face everyday, and when I switched to other brands, it just never felt the same. When I saw my current brand run out, and I saw some Nu Skin product left there, I tried it again, and I felt that Nu Skin was a way better product. It made me feel so darn clean. ( Kudos, to the Glacial Marine Mud ), and I saw the huge difference. Okay, I’m repurchasing them again despite the astronomical price tags. Maybe it’s a sign that I should work harder, and earn more. Hahaha! Continue reading
