I’ve been seeing alot of of beautiful hands with black nailpolish. Mischa Barton wears them, Lindsay Lohan too ( though chipped? ) and alot of A-list celebrities, and even normal people like my best bud! Gone are the days when I would hide in fear when my aunt comes out with her black polished nails, with me thinking that she’s a witch. I also didn’t like much David Bowie’s black nails. (sorry! though he’s cool )
Right now, black is beautiful and elegant. The tip, though? Don’t be caught with chipped nail polish! This is a beautiful and high maintenance look – so unlike the safe clear nailpolish that people choose to wear because it is so low-maintenance, and the moment it wears off, it is hardly noticeable. Short nails can also pull a good black polished look, though in my opinion, I would want it within a good length
I have this very cool post from The Makeup Bag that makes their readers choose which black is which, and the answers were very surprising – they were black nailpolish experts! I would not have known that since I haven’t worn black nail polish all my life. Maybe I will – the moment I grow them longer! Haha!
Well, are you game to have your nails painted black? I’d love to hear from you!

Tried wearing them back in college, they thought my nails were ‘dead’ hahaha
I tried wearing black nail polish on my toenails when it was the trend a few years ago. But I found it difficult to match with my shoes. Like if I wore beige shoes, I had to take it out since it didn’t look nice!
OMG! I am doing black nail polish tomorrow. I love this look, too. Most of my nail plish is OPI because, as you know, it’s amazing. But for black polish, I really like Black Satin by Chanel.
