bronzer I remember going home back from Bora all bronzed up, the first time my pale skin was basked under the sun in a span of seven years ( well, all I can say is that I’m going to the beach on an annual basis now! ), and bronzer was the best way to accentuate my features, giving me that sun-kissed, gorgeous glow. I even saw my picture with my shoulders all gleamed up with bronze beauty, and I just absolutely loved it. My buddy Jacqe has been hitting the beach for more than twenty times this year, and until now, her skin is still somewhat bronzey ( I wonder when it’d turn pale again? )

My point is, I have been feeling a whole lot colder lately, with the winds changing from hot and humid to cool and dry, and my lips have been chapping more frequently ( sheesh, it chaps all year long! ), and when I looked at myself in the mirror, I noticed that my slightly bronzed complexion has returned to its pale valor. I am contemplating if I should still wear bronzers, or not. Well, the Holiday seasons are in full bloom right now, and sleeveless tops and tank tops are replaced with long-sleeved but sexy tops ( be creative! haha! ), and the look for makeup? Well….

I say bronzers are far from out. It can be a personal choice to wear bronzers to keep up with that healthy glow if you don’t look healthy ( kidding! ) I mean, if you want to keep up with your beach babe soul, so be it. It still looks extremely sexy, specially when that look is pulled up during night outs. Another look has emerged for the Holidays though – it’s the pale-face-look-with-rosy-pinched-cheeks.

So far I’ve been leaning towards rosy red or twinkly medium pink blushes when I’m not in a bronzer mood. My foundation’s lighter than my from-the-beach foundation ( Rule # n = Thou shall have two foundations – one for summer, one for the holidays ), and I just feel….pale for the Holidays!

So, whose look reigns supreme now? The Eva Longoria bronzed goddess look, or the ethereal princess Liv Tyler look? Well, for me they’re both good, but as of now, it’s Liv for me. I’d go Eva in a few months! Haha!

So, happy Brrrrr months! ( because of the cold! Haha! )

I shall give some tips on how to achieve that angelic Christmas-glow girl in my next entry, so please do watch out for it!

Tata for now!

I have been having a really hard time letting go of the bronze! I like the Liv Tyler look and would love to achieve that glow. I seemed to have mastered the bronze glow but have some trouble with the whole being pale thing. Can’t wait for your next entry with tips on achieving the Liv Tyler look. I need major help here! Thanks!

I think bronzer works year-round, as long as it’s subtle. Especially when your skin gets plae during the winter months, it’s kinda nice to have something (whether it be a light bronzing powder, or a pinkish/peachy illuminating face powder) to “perk up” the face. =)

A bronzer plus an all-over body glow lotion like Jergens keeps my tan all year long.

I just got DuWop’s bronzerush. I am a pale-face, myself, and one look at that bronzy-gold brick sent shivers down my spine. I tend to get the Linsey Lohan, aka Oompa Loompa, look with most bronzers. But, DuWop never fails with it’s fine formulations. bronzerush is another fabulous find and I can personally recommend it for those seeking a little winter glow, without looking too beachy…just subtle warmth and the perfect glimmer.
