So, okay, here’s my Saturday night story. I was doing some overtime work til 10 pm ( sob, I cancelled my night out with my galfriends ), and I was ready for bed at around 12 midnight, and as I was surfing through the channels on TV, I saw this black and white movie, just about to start. Mata Hari. Wow. Then I remembered, this was a NARS shade! It’s a medium pink blush, that’s very matte, but leaves a very naturally pretty pink flush ( a little bit bright but it just pulls off quite perfectly ) to the face, and I was wondering why they’d name the shade that is Asian. I also saw a Mata Hari stall at the mall which sold dried delicacies, so I couldn’t find the connection. Okay, going back to the movie, the title that flashed on my TV screen intrigued me, and the actress who portrayed Mata Hari intrigued me more- Greta Garbo, one of the most beautiful and successful movie stars of all time. So okay, I think bedtime was a little bit postponed because I decided to watch the movie. Continue reading

Makeup addicts need some support group - either to stop this insane but extremely satisfying addiction,or…maybe, JUSTIFY their addictions! Hahaha! Well, I’m no exception! I’ve recently met a makeup lover, turned friend, Tracy, and we just love talking about our favorite subject! I’ve asked her to be guest blogger today, and I’m glad that she accepted my request!Well, I’m sure you’ll love her entry for today! It’s all about blushes for the Holidays!
Okay, as promised last night, I am now attempting to write about makeup during Christmas time ( now, look who’s excited? I’ve been excited since September! Sheesh! ). The wind is cold and dry, and the chilly weather feels wonderful! Bronzers might be out for some, and are adopting this kind of beautiful, fairy-like look, and I’m looking forward to see more fairies around this season! Then truly, I would feel like I am in Winter Wonderland *smiles* ( and we don’t have winter here! hahaha! )
I remember going home back from Bora all bronzed up, the first time my pale skin was basked under the sun in a span of seven years ( well, all I can say is that I’m going to the beach on an annual basis now! ), and bronzer was the best way to accentuate my features, giving me that sun-kissed, gorgeous glow. I even saw my picture with my shoulders all gleamed up with bronze beauty, and I just absolutely loved it. My buddy Jacqe has been hitting the beach for more than twenty times this year, and until now, her skin is still somewhat bronzey ( I wonder when it’d turn pale again? )
If I were to choose a precious Christmas gift, this brush would be it. I have been debating with myself whether I should get this or not, because I am somewhat satisfied with my kabuki brushes here at home. And yet, the raves that I have been reading about in various forums and review sites are much too loud to turn a deaf ear to. Some claim that it is their Holy Grail Brush, and this tool helps their foundations, liquid or dry, glide in effortlessly perfect on their skin, making it look totally airbrushed. Some have ignored the hefty price tag associated with this brush because of the impressive quality. But still, some are quite hesitant - what if it wouldn’t work on them? Thus, they are looking for some alternatives which are more lower-priced.
I had my hair rebonded last week. I’m so glad my hair is in its manageable state again! I had my hair rebonded last year, and I so loved it because it really eliminated all my frizzies, and made my hair a whole lot manageable. The effect wanes off after a year, and when my mom told me, “Juliet, your hair is ballooning again ( Hmph! She has such perfect hair and I don’t! )”, I got half of my paycheck, and went with my cuz Cristine to Tony and Jackey, a salon with Koreans as stylists ( love Korean stylists ). My hair was done by Kenny, and some staff there.
I’d just love to share my great love for Evian. It’s my makeup base right after my moisturizer ( or even if I’m too lazy to apply one for the day ), I use it to set my makeup, and it’s the one that I spray onto my face whenever I feel sleepy, or feeling icky because of a humid environment.
