Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Pack

First of all, a major shoutout to my blogger friend Renee! Happy Birthday Girl! *hugs* Wishing you tons of beauty products to come your way as we seek solace in them! Haha!

Second, back to my entry…(haha!)

laneige strawberry yogurt pack

I received a sample as a freebie from my Hongkong purchases from my good friend, Diana ( sniff, I really miss you Dee! I wanna go to Beijing already and do some pinyin with y’all! ). Since I’m on treatment, and I couldn’t immediately switch from one brand to another in the name of skin care, I had my little sister, a college freshman with the nickname of Strawberry, to try the Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Pack. ( How cute! Strawberry tries some Strawberry facial wash! ) Continue reading

Pick of the Week : Body Shop Vanilla Lotion

body shop vanilla lotionEveryone loves vanilla. Vanilla ice cream. Vanilla Ice (Kidding!).Vanilla Flavored Cake. Vanilla Candy. Vanilla Frappe. Vanilla Milk Shake. The yummy taste of vanilla is such a classic that everyone from across all ages and gender loves them. My pick of the week is the Body Shop’s Vanilla Lotion.

Why? Hmm..It’s pretty obvious if you have tried this! If not, read on! Hahaha!

First of all, I remember telling you my dear readers that I’m lotion phobic. I prefer sheer body oil or serum-like lotions. But the thing is, I have lotion-philes as close friends! Continue reading

Makeup For Camouflaging Stress

stressSigh, work has been toxic lately as the ber months have shifted the demand curve at another level. That always happens! People tend to want to purchase alot of stuff as early as now, and spending power is really high. Well, since everyone has saved up from January to August, and are prepared to splurge their savings for the merry months! Businesses pick up, and overtime from work starts. Same goes with moi.

Stress sometimes can’t be helped, and it really shows. In the skin. Skin becomes dull, and skin looks tired. I have a few suggestions of products that can try to hide your stress, though the best remedy is to stuff your system with fruits and water! Continue reading

Sephora’s Best of 2006 ( Makeup )

Sephora has come up with their Best Products for 2006, and I must say, I’m happy with my product bets getting in the list, and I am also very curious and tempted to buy those which I haven’t even had the chance of trying them yet!

The list is as follows :

nars orgasm

Best in Cheeks

Best Blush - NARS Orgasm

NARS Orgasm is the universally flattering shade for all women. It has won tons of awards for being best blush already, and it’s still standing as strong as ever!

Best Bronzer - Stila Sun

No Stila in my area. Rumor has it that the company that operates Watsons will be bringing Sephora here soon. Whoopee! Stila shopping spree, here I come! I’m still more excited about Stila’s lipstuff though.

Olympus Fashion Week!

The Olympus Fashion Week is one cool event that I’d love to attend one day. You get the future trends a year in advance by checking out the runway! Coolness! My Coutorture family, headed by Julie Fredrickson of Almostgirl, and some members such as Kristen of Beautyaddict and Christina of BonbonsintheBath were the lucky ones to attend the event. Great thing none of them forgot me, and other bloggers who would love to peek at the event! I’d love to share with you Coutorture Media’s firsthand videos of their coverage of the Olympus Fashion Week.

-Waiting in Vain!-

I’ve been blogging for hours here and I still can’t find the code I’ve got wrong since my entry which I was supposed to publish tonight wrecked my template. CSS error, I guess. Please bear with me! I’ll post as soon as I figure this thing out.

Love you all!
Juliet

Product Review : Guerlain Kisskiss Lipgloss

guerlain kisskiss lipgloss Hmm..I can’t remember when I was first lured by the renowned French cosmetics brand, Guerlain. Maybe the moment I browsed them at Sephora. Maybe the moment I saw their classy and elegant display at the local cosmetics section at the mall. Maybe, it doesn’t matter! The moment I saw their products, they had me at the packaging already! Shucks, I’ve always been a sucker for gold, queen-like packaging that I’ve decided to try their Kisskiss Lipgloss.

There were tons of rave reviews about the Kisskiss and Divinora lipsticks, that they have incredible staying power. I’m not really a lipstick person that I just invest on “safe” colors and go wild with lipgloss, as topcoats! Haha! So, I decided to buy the Kisskiss Lipgloss in Rose Peche as a gift for myself. Occasion? None. Maybe for being my vain self. Hahaha! Continue reading

Product Review : Estee Lauder Pure Pops Brush-On Color

estee lauder pure pops lipgloss My first dose of the Mall of Asia was so tiring! After bringing relatives from Hongkong for sight seeing here, it left my Sunday like I didn’t have a day off from work! But it’s all good, because I had the chance to enter the very beautifully designed beauty chain, Marionnaud! Such an array of beauty products always take my breath away. The renowned beauty brand Becca is there, and I was laughing as my dad was handed a Becca product brochure by my baby sister. Haha! The baby sister had taste after all!

Anyway, I was in such a lipgloss mood because of my recent rave for Guerlain lipgloss ( review, to follow ), and I have read so much rave reviews about Estee Lauder High Gloss. I asked the saleslady for an Estee Lauder High Gloss, and she pointed to me something that didn’t look like the one I saw on the internet. Well, I thought she meant that that lipgloss would give me a high gloss. It turned out to be the Pure Pops Brush-On Color in Berry Twist, since High Gloss isn’t available here yet.

My Mineral Makeup Home!

mineral makeup colorescience

I have pursued my other interest, mineral makeup, and put up a blog for it. I have some original material there that consists of interviews and reviews (watch out for it! ), and some press releases, and articles from the experts about the latest in mineral makeup. Don’t you just love mineral makeup? It’s like the best stuff on earth. Although I still use normal makeup products aside from foundation, mineral makeup has changed my life, and I think, alot of lives!

Product Review : Revlon Superlustrous Lipgloss

revlon superlustrous lipglossI’ve been endlessly intrigued by this new hit, and well-raved lipgloss by Revlon. It’s a shame I haven’t even bought one for myself! So, thanks to the help of my protege, Angel, whom I’ve immensely influenced to the world of cosmetics, she even went ahead of me and tried it herself! Now, I love spreading my love to the world, and I’m glad she caught some! Haha kidding! Well, here’s her review :

Angel says :
It was my mom who bought this lip gloss for me during her recent trip to Hong Kong. I originally ordered for a Lancome Juicy Tubes but she bought this instead since it was less expensive than the former. The ones she brought me came in a set of 4 shades—there is Nude Lustre, Shine City, Toast to the City, and Pink After Glow.
