Finally, after months of denial that I don’t need a dermatologist because I’ve consulted not so good dermatologists in the past who didn’t even know what milia meant, I went to see a new dermatologist. My Nu Skin regimen is on hold for the moment because I noticed that my skin becomes easily immuned to skin care products - meaning the products work amazingly for a month, then my skin goes back to its normal , problematic state as the effect wanes after a month or so. With that, I really needed professional help.
Well, I told my dermatologist about my problem having open pores, and dirt easily getting in my skin. Eew. The dermatologist asked me if I slept late, ate fruits and vegetables, those sort of questions. I admitted that I had a really bad sleeping habit, and I eat fruits and vegetables! She tried to negotiate an earlier sleeping schedule for me and I told her I’d try ( too much work! Darn..) We proceeded with the facial afterwards. After painful pricks that I’ve gotten from her, I didn’t want to see my face for the day because I know I’d look hideous! Sigh, while waiting for these wounds to heal, I’d just sleep and forget about it. Haha! Ugly today, beautiful tomorrow! That’s the spirit!
Anyways, she made me try this European skin care brand called Ziiit. She told me it was a European brand, but it’s made in Thailand. Doesn’t the brand name resemble the slang for blemishes/pimples, “zit”? Haha! She made me purchase this starter set for problem skin that includes a soap-free cleanser ( Wash ), an alcohol free toner ( Balance ), a spot treatment gel ( Away ), a whitening cream for post-pimple marks ( White ), and a sunblock cream ( In the Sun )
Anyway, I’ve read in another blog, after an afternoon’s worth of google searches that this product worked for her! It also happened that we had the same dermatologist! Coolness!
I was also made to try a Clindamycin solution for my blemishes. I didn’t really have tons of them, but now she pricked my bumps, there ya go! I have tons now! Haha! Clindamycin reminds me of VMV’s Clindamycin solution that I’ve tried years ago. It was really effective.
I’d post a review on my Ziiit experience a few weeks from now! Wish me luck!

Yes! Let us know how it goes. I like the orane logo on the Ziiit package… very cute!
Hope your skin feels better tomorrow
Ouch - be careful with the Clindamyacin.
Do let us know the results.
can you get ziit anywhere else???
Hey Erika : Day one, and it feels great!
I hope my skin condition improves.
I want to grow old with a flawless complexion! Lol!
Hey Teri!
: I will be careful!
I just dab a teeny weeny amount on it on my problem areas
Give me a month, or so, I hope I’d be singing praises of my dermatologist then. Lol!
Hey jeanne, I think Ziiit is a popular Asian brand ( sold within Asia! Lol ! ). I’ve come across a site that says it is being sold in Watsons ( at least, not in the Philippines! ) So far , it controlled my oilies today
that ziiit brand made me curious for a while (when I read your post in GT), so I checked your blog.
well, same problem here. I got tons of blemishes… thanks for the tons of pricking. My derma, on the other hand, prescribed me some oral medicines to control zit, hormone (androgen) and sebum (oil). And for the scars, she also recommended clindamycin for me, plus azelaic acid, glycolic acid and Neostrata H2 Lightening Cream (w/c has kojic acid and hydroquinone as the active ingredients)…and oh, adapalene (klenzit) for zits.
So far, so good. I still get a few tiny butligs/bumps here and there (maybe 2-3 :P). but atleast, I don’t get those med-size, cystic ones. Plus, my notice that my once hideous scars (thx to benzoyl peroxide) are fading.
The cost, I just wanna swoon over it! :X
She does sound like a great derma! My boss told me that some people do have to alternate skin care products, even her sons alternate every 1-2 months.
Goodluck on your new regimen, I look forward to the next post.
