Hmm..I can’t remember when I was first lured by the renowned French cosmetics brand, Guerlain. Maybe the moment I browsed them at Sephora. Maybe the moment I saw their classy and elegant display at the local cosmetics section at the mall. Maybe, it doesn’t matter! The moment I saw their products, they had me at the packaging already! Shucks, I’ve always been a sucker for gold, queen-like packaging that I’ve decided to try their Kisskiss Lipgloss.
There were tons of rave reviews about the Kisskiss and Divinora lipsticks, that they have incredible staying power. I’m not really a lipstick person that I just invest on “safe” colors and go wild with lipgloss, as topcoats! Haha! So, I decided to buy the Kisskiss Lipgloss in Rose Peche as a gift for myself. Occasion? None. Maybe for being my vain self. Hahaha!
Okay, first, the packaging. I can’t say anything. It’s really nice. It looks like a very thin bottle with a faux gold tip. Unlike common lipglosses, the Kisskiss lipgloss has a brush applicator instead of sponge tips. The application was more even this way, and picked up more gloss. With the shade Rose Peche, I can only say one thing - it’s amazing! It’s a sexy mix of bright pink and fuschia shade, and it really looks good on the lips! The color is more opaque than normal glossies, that amplifies the solid gloss color, as well as the megawatt shine. This has been the shiniest lipgloss I’ve ever tried, matched with the lovely shade!
I must say, this experience has made me love Guerlain even more! This has been the lipgloss I have ever tried this year. I can confidently say that they are at par, if not , even better than the MAC Lipglass! Consistency wise, it’s not watery or runny at all. It’s a little bit less stickier than the MAC Lipglass, but still a little bit sticky. Staying power? Like the normal glossies. I wish they lasted longer. Upon checking the Sephora website, I have seen a new product by Guerlain, called Laque, which is described as a “full coveraged lip color that shines like a gloss.” It is also said to have great staying power. Oh wow! Isn’t this what alot of girls want? Lipgloss with great staying power? This, I would really want to try because I’m really not into lipsticks. Well, I have to wait until the 28th for them to arrive! I have a few weeks to save up then. Hahaha!
