makeup tutorial step 10My newfound friend Phoebe was so kind enough to grace Beautynomics with her really cool, and swoonworthy makeup tutorials! Great technique, great step-by-step instruction, and great photography ( all , by herself! ) What more can you ask for? Enjoy learning!

In this tutorial, Phoebe used Bare Escentuals Foundation in Medium mixed with Medium Beige, and Mineral Veil for the face, Bare Escentuals blush in True for the cheeks, Bare Escentuals Glimmers in Trust, Beautiful Lisa and Liberty for the eyes, Bloom Clear Mascara and MAC Espresso for the eyebrows, and Chap Ice mixed with Bare Escentuals All Over Face Color in Glee for the lips.

Are you ready? Here goes!

Before putting any make-up on, prep your face with moisturizer preferably with SPF 15 and up.

makeup tutorial step 1

Buff the foundation in. While mineral powder foundation is not prone to harsh lines or streaking, buff the powder evenly still all the way to your neck.

makeup tutorial step 2

Using an medium/large eye shadow brush, sweep in your base color. I used “Take Me” in this tutorial which is sheer gold in color that works well with medium and yellow toned complexions.

makeup tutorial step 3

Sweep in a color that mimics light burgundy and copper on your creases. Blend it in with your base color. This gives a subtle illusion of depth.

makeup tutorial step 4

Concentrating on your upper and lower lids, gradually sweep in a medium to dark blue eye shadow. Build the color up until you are satisfied.

makeup tutorial step 7

Groom your eyebrows. I like maximizing my eyeshadows that’s why I use it on my eyebrows as well. Using a stiff slanted brush, I brush it on my eyebrows and follow it up with a clear mascara.

makeup tutorial step 8

Smile and lightly sweep some blush on the apples of your cheeks up to your temples.

makeup tutorial step 9

Apply your lip balm as usual and top it lightly with a matte/satin blush or all-over face color.

Tadah! Doesn’t she look fab?

She looks beautiful! This is actually really helpful for me since no one ever seems to do tutorials for Asian faces – especially those very tricky Asian eyes.
