Kerathermie at the Kerastase Institute

kerastase Interning for Kerastase made me learn alot, specially about hair care. I’ve digested all the informative brochures and dossiers, learned alot from the very kind product manager and the nice training executive, and even loved my favorite brand more. When the Kerastase Institute here at Manila opened, I dragged my friends there to try their services. I’m ashamed to say that all I had there was a haircut, and I’ve never had a treatment done there. I’ve been totally dependent on my home products such as the Kerastase Oleo Relax set! I love it to pieces, but there is something about the Institute that is different. Their technology is the most advanced in the country with sophisticated tools and equipment that makes sure that the moisture and vitamins get straight to the hair core, not anywhere just surrounding the hair strand. (Yes, I’ve learned that, too! )

What To Do on A Cold, Chilly, Stormy Day?

Typhoon’s signal number three, and the generator at my house is going to be shut down in a few hours time - leaving my home without any electricity! Wahh!!! The typhoon’s so bad, the lovely mango tree outside my house got uprooted, and glasses are breaking at my aunt’s house. Sigh.

I just wish everyone would be alright as the eye of the typhoon approaches the metropolis. It’s actually here, and tons of horror stories have been SMSed and even YM-ed to me. Did the SM of the SM Mall of Asia actually get detached from where it is? I even heard rooves flying already!

I wish it was as easy when I was a child, when I used to sing, “rain rain go away, come again another day” as I lean on my window. This is different now, I am now a member of the workforce, and I hate downtimes. I need to work! The weather, was once my companion when I would shout in glee whenever classes were suspended. Now I wish the weather was fine.

Anyway, it’s so darn chilly here, that my lips are chapping, again! Great thing I have my trusty lipbalms with me that I may never be afraid of dry, chapped lips for eternity. Haha!

So, my companion for the weather - all the lipbalms I need!

It could be just as simple as a trusty Vaseline =)

vaseline

Will be back as soon as the weather agrees with me! Tata for now!

Lancome L’Extreme Mascara

lancome lextreme From my previous entries I told everyone that I’m not really willing to buy expensive mascaras because I don’t really wear mascara everyday - it’s more on every weekends, and the shelf life of mascaras are only six months, which would mean, I’d be wasting alot of money. ( This is a relative opinion, it’s just moi! )

In all honesty, if given all the unlimited resources including money, I would definitely run to the mall and buy myself Shu Uemura and Lancome mascaras, for they are famed to have really good mascaras that promise volume and thickness in the lash area.

Well, I was given a chance to try the Lancome L’Extreme Mascara as my bestfriend and I were strolling at Rustans’ to check out and shop for cosmetics. A pretty saleslady came up to me and offered me to pick between a Lancome skin refiner ( can’t remember the product name ) or a L’Extreme mascara product sample. I immediately told her I wanted the mascara because I was so curious to try it, while my best friend opted for the skin care. Lancome Fatale isn’t here yet, so this is so far the most current mascara of Lancome. Continue reading

Boom for Hair Color to Cover Up Gray!

I read really something interesting in the inbox, that I want to share it with you! I just feel that somehow, we’d be growing old one day, and upon reading this email, I’m a little bit at peace that we won’t grow old getting depressed over our looks!

COLORMARK COLORMETRICS

WHAT IT IS: The easiest way to cover-up gray. Did you know that female Baby Boomers account for 28% of the total female population in the United States? That works out to be about 39 million women – most of who are waging a war against going gray and coloring their hair regularly. And ask any Baby Boomer what the biggest downside to coloring her hair is and she will likely give you one answer – how quickly her gray roots start to show. Luckily, there is one product that temporarily covers gray roots better than any other – ColorMark. Continue reading

A Trip to the Dermatologist and my Ziiit!

ziiit anti acne Finally, after months of denial that I don’t need a dermatologist because I’ve consulted not so good dermatologists in the past who didn’t even know what milia meant, I went to see a new dermatologist. My Nu Skin regimen is on hold for the moment because I noticed that my skin becomes easily immuned to skin care products - meaning the products work amazingly for a month, then my skin goes back to its normal , problematic state as the effect wanes after a month or so. With that, I really needed professional help.

Well, I told my dermatologist about my problem having open pores, and dirt easily getting in my skin. Eew. The dermatologist asked me if I slept late, ate fruits and vegetables, those sort of questions. Continue reading

Marks and Spencer Magnolia Body Care

marks and spencer magnolia body careHmmm…where do I start. The moment my “cousin” Cristine bought me a Marks and Spencer Magnolia body creme for my birthday, I became so hooked with it. Cristine was right when she told me that the smell was really ladylike, very subtle, yet with a touch of elegance and classy fragrance. It was not the flowery fragrance wherein you’d “wither” with the strong scent. They were mild, fresh flowers! Apparently, I wasn’t the only one hooked. The moment I let my mom use it, she decided then and there to order me to go to the mall immediately to buy the entire line of Magnolia Body Care! She made me buy the body wash, the deodorant, and even the body spray! I told myself to pass on the handcream since I wanted to use the body cream for that purpose as well. Well, she was that hooked with the fragrance and quality of these products! Continue reading
