awake stardom aqua trans loose powder I’ve been hearing about this great, and unique loose powder, so I decided to drag my best bud to the cosmetics counter last Sunday to try the Awake Stardom Aqua Trans Loose Powder. Awake is a Japanese brand, that is also the sister company of Kose and Fasio. Japanese brands just turn me on. I always associate the word “Japanese” to having great skin. Moi is totally envious of them! Well, what’s so unique about this loose powder?

First, when I asked the beauty assistant to use my kabuki brush instead of the puff ( I’m obsessive compulsive ), she told me that the kabuki brush can’t be used, and the puff is an integral part of the application process. Okay. She pressed the puff against the sifter, then turned the container upside down. Then, she applied it on my skin. It felt very cool and refreshing, it was like spa for the skin. The reason for that is because the Aqua Trans Loose powder is water-based, and as it is applied to your skin, your skin is hydrated. Isn’t that great? Most loose powders just cover, cover, and cover. They look matte, and wear the face down. They give some shimmer, but makes the face look like a “disco-ball”. This on the other hand, I felt, was a very unique product. It actually hydrates the skin to make it look healthier! Upon looking at the mirror, I noticed a healthy and fresh look on my skin. I also noticed my pores being washed away by the “hydration” I’m getting.

Okay, I’m all praises for this product. Not only is this out of this world, I am also swept away by the minty cool feeling on my face, which I am so fond of. Downside? Well, I don’t know if you’d call this downside. There are limited shades, mostly light, and the coverage is very sheer. You would need to have good skin to pull this off, if you want to wear only this for the day. It’s like wearing no makeup on, but your skin just looks extra great! Another good idea might be applying this on bare skin before you apply foundation, this would help your skin look and feel moisturized before applying any other product. The container must always be tightly closed because it is water-based - it could evaporate! Haha!

Well, my best bud and I finished shopping without it. Blame it on the countless cosmetics we’ve purchased before we bumped into this product! Maybe I could go back next week to get it!

Tata for now!
