neutrogena body oilThe Neutrogena Body Oil has been there sometime, but I’m afraid I have been ignoring it because of the word “oil.” See, I am phobic of greasy stuff, that I wince even by looking at them, how much more if I apply them to my skin? *Faints*. But one fine day, I suddenly had the crazy move of buying this famed body oil as requested by my mom who’s a total lotion addict who’d always try products to help keep her skin soft and supple. We’re so the opposite. I wonder how I managed to live without lotions for a long time.

Well, let’s just say that this was a pleasant surprise.

The first thing I did when I opened the bottle was smell it. Hmm, at least it didn’t smell like pungent oils out there that had really overpowering, and intimidating fragrances. It was very mild. The Neutrogena Body Oil has a light sesame flavor, and I must say, it smelled okay when I first sniffed from the bottle.

Now, my mom instructed me to apply body oil on damp skin right after I take my shower. She told me to lightly use the towel to absorb the excess water, but not to rub the water completely from the body, then apply the oil, then use my towel to absorb again the excess liquid from the body.

I got a small amount of the body oil, and felt it was not too “thick”, so I was a little bit relieved. After the application, I felt that my skin was softer and more supple. The great thing was it didn’t feel greasy on the skin, for it was very very light, like nothing was really applied to my skin. And the great part? The smell of this body oil when I first “sniffed” from the bottle, and the smell on my skin is totally different. In what way? It smelled so much better when applied on my skin! WAY better ( for the record, it smelled okay when I first sniffed it, but it smelled simply divine on my skin! ) I felt it was like Estee Lauders Pleasures ( though they don’t smell the same ). They have the same tempting scent. They are not over-the-top fragrances, but they manage to “intoxicate” and make people dizzy because of the “alluring” and addicting fragrance.

It’s been bottle number five, and I can confidently say that I haven’t gotten tired of this product. This, for me, is a classic, that I think I will be using until I grow old. This product made me think that lotions/oils for the body aren’t bad after all. No more icky feeling!

I love the Neutrogena body oil!! It smells so good…the sesame scent is so light and fresh. I actually became a huge fan of body oils this past winter when I realized they’re so much easier to apply to the body than body lotion. Less rubbing and massaging in and just as much moisture.

I am a total fan of body oils. I like to use the ones by Jo Malone, but this Neutrogena one is great too.

I like to apply while I’m still damp from my shower and then I give myself a few minutes to let it soak in before I put my bathrobe on. Totally soft skin!
