lipsThe lips are often used for the art of seduction, for kissing is the language of love. Want to perfect this seduction technique? Then , it is a must have for you to have kissable lips! Define kissable lips? Absolutely soft, sensual, red lips. Healthy-looking lips. But really, it’s a bit of a challenge to maintain great looking lips because lips tend to chap all the time – blame it on the weather, choosing a bad lipstick, and frequent biting of your lips.

To maintain good lips, and forever banish the sight of chapped lips, I suggest to do the following :

  • Eat healthy. Drink lots of water, and eat fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid smoking. Government warning : smoking is dangerous to your lips! ( Geez, I AM cheesy. )
  • Avoid licking or biting your lips
  • Exfoliate lips at least once a week. To exfoliate, use a gentle toothbrush, and “brush” your lips lightly.
  • Be careful in choosing lipstick brands. Use a trusted brand known for its quality. I remember a friend telling me how her lips turned so dark – just because of a decision to scrimp on buying lipsticks! She bought a lipstick worth $1. Goodness. That’s a death sentence to your lips! Choose a lipstick/lipgloss that is moisturizing to the lips.
  • Apply petroleum jelly, or your favorite lipbalm before you go to bed. The airconditioning unit or A/C causes your skin to turn dry, and even the lips, too.
  • Apply lipbalm as much as possible. Be smart ! Get one with SPF. Hit two birds with one stone.
