Awake Stardom Aqua Trans Loose Powder

awake stardom aqua trans loose powder I’ve been hearing about this great, and unique loose powder, so I decided to drag my best bud to the cosmetics counter last Sunday to try the Awake Stardom Aqua Trans Loose Powder. Awake is a Japanese brand, that is also the sister company of Kose and Fasio. Japanese brands just turn me on. I always associate the word “Japanese” to having great skin. Moi is totally envious of them! Well, what’s so unique about this loose powder?

First, when I asked the beauty assistant to use my kabuki brush instead of the puff ( I’m obsessive compulsive ), she told me that the kabuki brush can’t be used, and the puff is an integral part of the application process. Okay. Continue reading

Kerastase Oleo Relax Anti-Frizz Serum

This week is “favorite products” week. In the name of styling products, Kerastase Oleo Relax Anti-Frizz Serum is numero uno for me!

Kerastase is one of those brands wherein you don’t mind spending more because you know the results you will get from using their products will be more than satisfactory. It’s one of those high-end brands which doesn’t disappoint you why they charge higher. In Economics, products like these don’t adopt “price differentiation” and compete in terms of prices. Kerastase adopts a quality-related differentiation. Their prices are higher than the normal hair care brand, but they offer a “premium” with Recherche Avancee ( high technology based research straight from their labs in Paris ) for their hair care products.

Product Review : Neutrogena Body Oil

neutrogena body oilThe Neutrogena Body Oil has been there sometime, but I’m afraid I have been ignoring it because of the word “oil.” See, I am phobic of greasy stuff, that I wince even by looking at them, how much more if I apply them to my skin? *Faints*. But one fine day, I suddenly had the crazy move of buying this famed body oil as requested by my mom who’s a total lotion addict who’d always try products to help keep her skin soft and supple. We’re so the opposite. I wonder how I managed to live without lotions for a long time.

Well, let’s just say that this was a pleasant surprise.

This Week’s Beauty Raves

Gosh ! I’m so happy that finally, another week is over, now with a new one! I am so excited for the -ber months to come! I can’t wait for my best friend Maisie to come home from Canada this Decem-ber, I can’t wait to go to Boracay Island again ( which, I think, is truly paradise ) on Christmas vacation, I can’t wait to receive cosmetics as Christmas gifts ( Hahahaha! There ya go! My true colors! ), really, I have tons of things I can’t wait to experience!

Beauty-wise, I have four things to rave about :

Gaga Over Bare Escentuals Glimmers

bare escentuals glimmersSo, okay, shoot me, I totally broke my promise for the week vowing not to buy anything to feed my vivaciously vain cravings. My latest purchase for the week was an 8-piece sample set of Bare Escentuals glimmers ( on sale! ) from my local seller-friend, Claudine, who owns Bare Beauty Online. I know, I’ve been trying to control myself from getting myself makeup, but these shiny wonders really make my knees weak! I mean, why not?

TIGI Bedhead Makeup

I’ve used some TIGI Bedhead products in the past, such as the Self Absorbed Conditioner, which was perfect for my everydays. I’ve always been convinced that TIGI is one of the good brands in hair care, but makeup? When I surfed on Beautyofasite (again! couldn’t resist!) , I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw TIGI Bedhead cosmetics. Cosmetics? Woah! That’s new? ( At least, for me ).

I’ve found some great picks, that really really tempt me to purchase them online. Oh drat, I am trying to control myself! Anyway, here they are :

Beauty Products That Help You Lighten Up!

Uneven skin and discoloration sure spoils our day. With an uneven surface, we cease to have bright, glowing skin. Well, there’s no need to hide in the dark anymore! Here are some beauty products that would help you re achieve the even, bright skin you once had!

vmv illuminants underarm VMV Illuminants Active Lightening Underarm Treatment and Antiperspirant

Target body part : The underarms

Let’s face it, the reason why we can’t raise our hands so high, when wearing a tank top is that we’re scared that they’re darker. Well, the underarm’s color is naturally a little bit darker than the rest of your skin, but if it gets too dark, it’s not a good thing anymore. VMV is one of the good brands out that have the right to call their products “hypoallergenic.” It takes alot to earn the term “hypoallergenic” in a product, much more, to be used in the brand name itself! (Hint : they had their brand validated internationally! ) Continue reading

Blinc Kiss Me Heated Eyelash Curler

kiss me heated eyelash curlerI’ve always been intrigued by heated eyelash curlers. They’re a hit all over Asia. My cousin in Hong Kong sells them on Ebay, and claims that they’re really bestsellers. I’ve been staying true with my conventional eyelash curler, but this product I’ve found on Beautyofasite makes me wonder what it feels to be on the “other side”.

The Blinc Kiss Me Heated Eyelash Curler is simply a must-have in anyone’s purse, or overnight vanity kit because of its compact design. For those who have poker straight eyelashes, this is your ultimate savior!
