Some people have been asking me why I would splurge that much for an eyelash curler. Some give me incredulous looks when I tell them how much it is, and so much more. Goodness. Are they serious? ( Now, I’m the one who’s incredulous! Hahaha ).
I mean, it isn’t the price, you know, if I could find a good one for a dollar, why not?
Ergnomics. Yeah, that flashy jargon term that my best bud studies in her Industrial Engineering class can still be applied to the beauty industry!
Picking out an eyelash curler is just like picking out your precious eyebrow tweezer. I’m sure you’re gonna yell at yourself when you pick out the wrong one, not out of anger, but of pain!
Anyway, to pick out an eyelash curler, the handle must be comfortably snug to your hands since you’re gripping the curler to work, and you need all the help you can get. The contoured cage, as well as the silicone pads must be shaped accordingly to give you the most natural curl. You don’t want your lashes to look like they’re been molded into an horrid L shape, right?

P.S. We did a roadtest on these two curlers a few months ago. My friend, who has really enviable long lashes, was asking me which curler she should buy. She used Shu Uemura, and got really a pretty natural curl. We also tried Shiseido curler on her, but the curl wouldn’t stay for long.
Reason might be, it is said that Shiseido eyelash curlers work best for Asian women, as alot of girls claim. Shu Uemura works in a variety of situations, and a friend of mine even claimed stepping out of the hot tub, with her eyelashes still fully curled. Wow.
So, I think my splurging for eyelash curlers are justified. It’s an investment. Investment is equal to savings in the economic world. I don’t want to spend some reconstructive eyelash or eye surgery one day, it would surely cost a whole lot more than my Shu curler!

im planning on getting either a shu or a shiseido eyelash curler. i have chinita, small eyes plus short downpointed eyelashes. pls suggest which one i should get?
Shopaholic, my friend who has really small eyes would say Shiseido, while I would say Shu Uemura ( I also have small eyes but hers are smaller )
