I have always been scared of lip-plumping products because they offer trade-offs of some sort. Yes, the economic term trade-offs, wherein you get something, but you lose something too.
Tradeoff in the sense that I get full, plump lips, but my lips sting like hell. *Sob*
My latest discovery, Nu Colour Contouring lipgloss, promises to make lips well-defined , and give proper definition without the sting. As described on the website,
Kiss thin, undefined lips goodbye with Nu Colour® Contouring Lip Gloss for full, shapely, youthful looking lips. This ultra shiny gloss features an oligopeptide to define and contour lips, focusing on the “cupid’s bow” that tends to fade with age. Clinically proven to stimulate collagen production, this peptide helps you achieve the full, shapely lips you desire in only 28 days. Ideal to wear alone or over your favorite shade of Nu Colour® Replenishing Lipstick, this long-wearing formula glides on smoothly, delivering a sophisticated shine. With Nu Colour® Contouring Lip Gloss, the more you wear it, the better your lips will look.
Key ingredients of this wonder lipgloss promises to speed up collagen production for fuller and more defined lips (Palmitoyl oligopeptide) , infuse lips with powerful antioxidants to keep free radical damage away ( red raspberry seed oil, wow, I like, I like! ), and keeps lips from cracking by infusing tons of moisture for smooth application (Dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline).
I have underestimated this product. As this brand not being sold in malls, it’s very hard to find unless you know a Nu Skin distributor around your area. I suddenly wish that this wonder lip gloss was sold just everywhere. I’m sure everyone would love it! Why?
I wear it on top of a very neutral rose shaded lipstick, and it glides on like a dream. I just fall for mega-wattage shine, and this gloss sure is SHINY! They have lovely shades that just makes my lips so beautiful, well-defined, and all. It’s ultimately yummy, and lasts long too!
Did I mention that this is an entirely different technology from “plumping?” Because plumping technology increases blood flow temporarily for that Angelina Jolie lips, but “contouring” contours and defines the outline of the lips immediatelyand over time by promoting an increase in collagen content.
A great alternative, minus the sting that I am so peeved about!
