As a followup on my previous entry about microdermabrasion, I must say, there are just tons of commercial products sprouting out that are trying substitute at-clinic microdermabrasion procedures with DIY ( do-it-yourself ) at home microdermabrasion systems. I mean why wouldn’t people seek a substitute? Reasons to consider are :
1. A trip to the dermatologist is costly, is time consuming, and has “schedules” that you have to spare some time and take some effort to go there since you don’t normally go there.
2. The mall is one of the most accessible places on earth. Hahaha. No effort, just flash the cash, and the item’s yours! Did I say or , rather, exclaim on how easy it is to buy online? hehe Those are reasons enough!!!
The latest product offering, by Neutrogena, is the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions At Home Microdermabrasion System.

The set contains:
Micro-Oxide Crystallized Cream Net Wt 2.6oz (75g)
System Applicator (1)
Soft Foam Sponge Heads (2)
AA Batteries (2)
Custom Stand for convenient storage when not in use
The Advanced Solutionsâ„¢ Micro-Oxide Crystallized Cream contains the same aluminum-oxide crystals used by dermatologists and salon professionals for professional level surface cellular renewal.
The Advanced Solutionsâ„¢ System Applicator has two speeds to allow you to control the intensity of your treatment for maximum results without discomfort.
The Advanced Solutionsâ„¢ Soft Foam Sponge Head distributes the Micro-Oxide Crystallized Cream to gently and evenly retexturize skin.
It claims that it would give as much as the same result as a clinic dermabrasion procedure. Other results include surface cell turnover for smoother skin on Day 1, clearer, and brighter skin on Week 1, and visibly reduced fine lines and wrinkles by Week 4. Impressive, huh.
One thing I like about this set is that they even have a tool, that makes it look “professional”, thus, making its product offering with packaging and contents as attractive as ever.
I wouldn’t really doubt Neutrogena as a brand since it had come up with very good products in the past, and this might just be a good one, too.
