When I reached the advent of my womanhood, I realized that eyeshadows weren’t for the extreme vain only. Eyeshadows further enhance someone’s eyes - make them more dramatic, fun-looking, and pretty. A wide palette of colors are around in the market for the ladies to choose what they think is best for them. But one day, wearing my favorite eyeshadow, I notice, my eyeshadow’s gone by lunch time. What might the reason be?

Well, there exists the term “oily lids”. At first I was..wha? Oily lids? Even my lids were oily! *Sob* Yes, there is such a term. So to prevent that, we need some “base” that would hold the eyeshadows. A primer, of some sort. My favorite product? Definitely the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Packaged in a precious, genie-like bottle, Eyeshadow Primer Potion is an ultra-sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with the wave of a wand and then disappears instantly. It’s the ultimate eye prep for smoother, longer-lasting, crease-proof eyeshadow. To use: Apply and let dry before putting on your favorite eyeshadow shades, for dazzling eye looks that stay put.

Many have claimed to have the Urbay Decay Primer Potion as their Holy Grail eyeshadow base. For me, it really is. It keeps your eyeshadow intact, very much beautiful until the end of the day, no matter how oily your lids are.

But for those who don’t have budget for it ( totally understandable, this is an accessory item in the makeup kit ), and who choose not to allot some amount for an eyeshadow base, that’s okay, we have an alternative! ….Well?

Tadah….get the creamy concealer in your makeup kit, and apply it as an eyeshadow base. That’s all you need, and you’ll have long-lasting great lid color. :)

The Paladio Herbal Treatment Concealer is a great alternative for long-lasting lid color! Dual purpose - helps you conceal and treat your red areas, and keep your oily lids at bay!

Well, to apply, just swipe a small amount to your entire lid, and make it as neutral or transluscent as possible, then wait for like 10 seconds to dry. Then apply your eyeshadow as you normally would ;)

So, that’s achieving ultimate satisfaction, without hurting your budget. Wow!

Just a P.S., I actually thought it was only my own problem since, but I realized that alot of women also had this problem, thus this entry. :)

Their Pure Shine Glosses arethe best, as well as their lipsticks ( review, in a week! ), and I’m just happy to have stumbled upon their Eyeshadow Primer and Base! With my dried out and nonfunctional Urban Decay Primer Potion that lasted a year on me, I was a very sad Beautynomist. It’s like, my pet that died. It’s so precious, and hard to find, and I couldn’t get one immediately because it isn’t available here. So, I was contemplating if I should get a MAC Shadestick, but the price just makes me flinch - I don’t know why. Usually I’m not particular about the price of the product, since I’m always game for quality, I just don’t know why in this case , I didn’t feel like buying MAC anytime soon though I really wanted to. Here comes my package from Aromaleigh containing a whole lot of goodies, and the Eyeshadow Primer and Base caught my eye - they answered my prayers, for an eyeshadow primer! Whew! So that Saturday, I used this prior to eye makeup application. I used my concealer brush to apply this on the lids of my eyes, and it glided just like Urban Decay Primer Potion. Well, it also felt like the “glide” and consistency of Jane Iredale’s Absence, only a bit thicker. After applying my eyeshadow, which colors showed up prettily ( even if it was just the boring browns! ), it was time to roadtest for the staying power and the crease factor. By the end of the night, I checked myself in the mirror, and voila! No creasing, and the eyeshadow stayed put. It looked like exactly like when I first applied it - to think that my lids are horribly oily (thus, nothing ever stays ), this is pretty impressive! Another thing is that I applied mineral eyeshadow in loose form - loose eyeshadows certainly need primers for them to “stick on” to to improve staying power. The product looks like it would last an entire year or more on me , considering it’s in cake form. This product is really great - and wait, when I checked the price on the website. Holy smokes - $ 9.50? It’s half the price that I would be paying for MAC, and it works just great! Definitely no tradeoff here. Yay!!! I’m a happy happy girl once again! Now, I’ve a new pet! It’s my Aromaleigh Eyeshadow Primer and Base. For those who want value for their hard-earned money, this is quite a steal already! Also check out other Aromaleigh stuff here!
