The Wonders of Makeover - Like Clay Aiken!

picture from www.wikipedia.org

So, okay, I am so into makeovers. I believe that someone’s skin care regimen or vanity affairs can make or break a person, as well as his/her makeup ( yeah, men wear makeup too! )

Believing that, I know that everyone is simply beautiful. You just have to know what fits you well. In other words, in my nerdy economic terms, my “optimal” point.

Optimum, according to Economist.com, means :

As good as it gets, given the constraints you are operating within. For the concept of optimum to mean anything, there must be both a goal, say, to maximise economic WELFARE, and a set of constraints, such as an available stock of scarce economic resources. Optimising is the process of doing the best you can in the circumstances.

Welcome to the NEW & IMPROVED Beautynomics Blog!

Yes! I have finally left my old home * sniff, will be missing it alot *, Beautynomics @ Blogspot for a better, and bigger home, Beautynomics.com ! :) Thank you my dear loyal readers for being patient with me as I move my old stuff to my new home, since I’m so careful I don’t dare break a nail ( haha! ). Now, it’s finally done, and I’m ready to write more beautynomical articles. More intensely beauty-related news, articles, and tips, all backed up by economic theories. But of course, being rational is economical already, so mind you people, just breathing, is already doing Economics! ( Did I just scare some of my readers off..don’t get scared! haha ! )

Anyway, for past archives, you can still browse through my old articles dated May 2006 and earlier dates. But be sure to link me, and look forward to my new articles!

Toodles!

Splurge VS Save!

With the lean times that are ahead of us, we need to get all our money’s worth. Inflation rates…fluctuating markets…lower purchasing powers. I didn’t just tell you to lower the standards of the beauty products that you are using! I’m just trying to point out that, there are actually products in the market that are actually good, and with a good price too. Sometimes they are even good enough to compete, or even perform just like their high-end counterparts. One can achieve maximum satisfaction with a low budget, if only he/she can have a keen eye for detail in cosmetics / body care :) So , here are my picks, and I hope it does help you have more moolah saved for the rainy days!:)
